This poem was very uplifting and I am smiling, and Westly's do not smile often. As I read this poem, it said to me. excuse me! I have the right to be me, just like snow in all its changing forms is beautiful , so am I. To shine, sparkle and bring joy and laughter to the world and all within. And Tracy, you do that in every poem you write. Just like the snow, God made you exactly the women and writer He wants you to be.

Denis, your writing lives on forever, and I can never see a cold grave. The reason be is your never be in it because the Higher Power see's the blessing his creation is and your be with Him. God's good idea! To me this writer never waster a single miracle moment in his whole life, as he writes and give back to all who is lucky enough to read his poem. Besides if your in a grave , who going to shovel all that snow ? Even when I was 3, I could not kept up with you. And no! I do not shovel snow, that for the chosen few.

.This poem is beautiful, as well as being well written and I hope everyone takes time to read it. This poem as a writer says a lot about Dale , taking time out of your busy day for someone else. Thank you! This poem is what Christmas is all about Love. The Two white colored doves was as if they had become time travelers exploring the newest and richness of each experience. This poem to me was about being prepared for change as you see it taking place on this tree. It like having baggage on a bus , as you move over and make room for that someone special in your life. Love, is beautiful in all of its changing forms. This poem is about being determine to keep a positive attitude and make time for another.

Reading your poem Eddie, takes me back to a time when I too remember the carol signing at the hospital entrance - I was visiting an old friend who had been rushed in there a few days before. It seemed to be filling the whole building and it changed the atmosphere to one of hope and peace, instead of the usual rushing around. Nurses and doctors stopped and listened and you could see the change in their faces. No rainbow, but I can see the analogy you paint with your words. It was a Salvation Army choir that had been invited into the foyer to sing by a doctor called out for an emergency. As their carols echoed all through the building, it seemed that 'peace' descended and took over. Nurses and doctor: attendants and visitors alike, all stopped to listen, and later I found out the patients - some critically ill - they too had found it a great moment. An interlude, which brought hope to them in their hour of need. I believe it is a 'practice' that continues in that hospital, to this day! As for you and your family? May you enjoy Christmas fully recovered along with May and whomsoever might call around to visit! The same goes for all of those Members who are ill. Fondest regards, Pauline and Denis.

A Very Special (to me) Christmas Ornament * 104th Challenge) -- by Member: Westly Shaw, USA -- added: 12/8/2019 2:01:08 AM

Hi Westly and a great memory of Christmas which you - as a child - decorated with a star, made by your own hands, that represented the true meaning of Christmas. I remember doing such things as a child too. Making decorations which later, reinforced the meaning of Christmas. Today, I deplore the commercial aspect which dominates. I'm tired of all the hype which urges us to spend, spend, spend, which in turn, hides the true spirit of Christmas. Though I love to see the look on a child's face when a Christmas present is unwrapped, I am very much opposed to the commercial brain storming we get on TV, night after night, weeks - even months - before that all important day. I think the Seniors you value so much, will agree with me on this. I do know that my Celebration is nothing without the 'contacts' we make around The Day, with surviving friends and relations! The best Christmas present I ever receive! May you enjoy the adding your "Star" to your Christmas Tree for many years to come. Fondest regards and a Merry Christmas to you and yours, from Pauline and Denis.
