Two Poems from our Angel Poetry Collection

A man with no face

Author: Robert Miller

Poem:
A man with no face

  There he stood
in the shadows of the trees,
not on his feet
but down on his knees.
In position of pray
he looked to the ground,
he stayed so still
and made not a sound.
His hands were together
his fingers interlocked,
i could'nt see who he was
his face was too blocked.
By the hood on his sweatshirt
and the branches in the way,
so i just let him be
and he continued to pray.
Hours had passed
and there he remained,
but now he looked different
his body looked drained.
Suddenly came
a starburst of light,
that descended upon him
ever so bright.
It hovered over him
i guess you could say,
but only for seconds
then faded away.
Curious, i stepped forward
i just needed to know,
who was this person
and what was that glow.
I asked who are you
i am gods grace,
i am your angel
a man with no face.
The glow that you saw
was just me in flight,
to embody the soul
that i departed last night.
You said your my angel
why me and why here?
i was to keep you occupied
so your life i could spare.
He suddenly vanished
he was now gone,
so i went to my car
where the radio was on.
I heard about the accident
and thought thats where i'd be,
the person was killed
and that could have been me.

SILENT DAWN

Author: Renata Mclean

Poem: SILENT DAWN

I wish I were you,
Beautiful, silent and ignorant.
Innocence is innocence,
Innocence is beauty,
Beauty is silence.

Hate me for loving you,
Hate me for wanting to be you,

I stand on the other side of the mirror of life,
Here I stand,
On the outside looking in,
I wish I were you,
Innocence, silence, beauty.
