In the darkness of the night Something stole me far from sight It took me to a garden sweet And turned around so we could meet
In an eerie pool of light I saw my captor, full of fright he had an exotic handsome face but i could not tell his family race
In the sinking light of day “Come with me” he did say I gave my hand, he held me fast And took me to a land so vast
To the wonder of my eye “Oh! Such Beauty!” I did cry With Golden roads, and jewelled seas Oh how it had delighted me
In the distance far, I saw Standing on the mountain tall Was a magnificent marble palace Such beauty had no time for malice
But soon my stranger had to roam And take me back to my old home He stood beside me, oh so regal And I realised he was my Lord Angel

He Held Out his Hand |

|
Familiar with violence I am God held out his helping hand An angel spread her wing and I was cuddled beneath She began to sing in her sweet soft voice I've been freed of this tragic life Rejoice God has saved me from evil's clutches and I do my best to love him as much as my human condition will allow I'v made up my mind I'm going to heaven some day and some how
