Familiar with
violence I am
God held out
his helping hand
An angel spread
her wing
and I was cuddled
beneath
She began to sing
in her sweet soft voice
I've been freed
of this tragic life
Rejoice
God has saved me
from evil's clutches
and I do my best to love him
as much as
my human condition
will allow
I'v made up my mind
I'm going to heaven
some day and some how |

I knew I had done my best to rescue a fallen bird from it's nest It seemed such a tiny thing when I fixed it's broken wing In the morning sky it did begin to fly up and up so high It seemed to disappear into the depths of the cloud cover when I suddenly saw an angel hover
