I knew
I had done my best
to rescue
a fallen bird
from it's nest
It seemed such
a tiny thing
when I fixed
it's broken wing
In the morning sky
it did begin to fly
up and up so high
It seemed to disappear
into the depths
of the cloud cover
when I suddenly saw
an angel hover
