Colin couldn't figure out
The purpose of his pointed snout
Another thing that puzzled him
Was how he stayed so very slim
Most crocodiles were twice his size
With ghastly breath and beady eyes
Who'd pounce on unsuspecting prey
As in the murky depths they lay
But Colin neither had the will
Or inclination for the kill
Instead he'd wallow in the water
Eating things he didn't oughta
It seemed impossible yet true
A croc who wouldn't bite or chew
Or crunch or snap then tear to ribbons
Zebras deer or wayward gibbons
The problem was that Colin's choppers
Had disappeared he blamed gobstoppers
He munched them when he was quite little
But alas they made his teeth all brittle
His mother Claire had different taste
Believing nowt should go to waste
Once ate her poor old husband Reggie
An act that turned poor Colin veggie
One great big splash one awful crunch
Meant Mum was having Dad for lunch
And since that day he'd never eaten
Anything with hands and feet in
Instead he turned to chocolate bars
And midnight feasts beneath the stars
Of chocolate cake and chocolate sweets
And lots of other chocolate treats
This made him such a happy croc
His belly always choc-a-block
He got a taste for candy too
And bubblegum that he could chew
Now some might think a chocolate diet
Was perfect and would like to try it
But Colin met a sticky end
When eaten by his own best friend
Now though this sounds a little gory
There is a moral to this story
If you would like to keep life sweet
Just be careful what you eat
