MY DOG MAX

Author: Tanya Busher

Poem:
MY DOG MAX

  Waking up this early morning
Very sunny day, not a cloud in the sky,
This very moment that I wondered,
To get my self a friend for life.
This is how the story goes
Driving 1 kilometre to town
driving past k9
I stopped and walked inside
I was walking around looking for
my right dog that I would love and adore
all I wanted to do is take them all home.
But one had caught my eye,
begging, begging and walking on his paws
oh, how I loved him and adored.
He's nice black furry coat, his long nose
as he sniffed my hand with also a lick.
I then brought him home
I named him Maximillion because he is one
in a billion,
And 'til this day, he has a life he could ever want, he has a life with me.
This is the story of Maximillion, you see
He's the joy, he's my mate, he's everything that could ever be.

LITTLE LAMB

Author: Barbara Tipper

Poem: LITTLE LAMB

Oh, to be like the little lamb
who stood beside Your crib
that I could welcome You on earth
as others gladly did.

Oh, to be like a little lamb
by the Good Shepherd led
beside the waters still and calm;
green pastures for my bed.

Well Mary had a holy Lamb
His soul was white as snow
And for my sins ev'n to the cross
The Lamb was sure to go

O how I weep, a sorry lamb,
I gaze upon Your deed.
The Lamb of God who died for all,
who, for my sins, did bleed.

Lord guide the steps of this small lamb,
and let my life be whole.
Your rod and staff to comfort me
Your voice restore my soul.

So I will be Your little lamb,
will lie beside the lion
in Your great Kingdom when we meet
at Your appointed time.
