To My Loving Husband On Our Anniversary Day
Four years have expeditiously passed by like the snap of a photograph, both of smiles and cries,
The next forty-four will pleasantly skip in style as the beats of our hearts forcefully drive,
Mystified by the time, the place, the moment when our hollow hearts seized each others,
It was the miracle of kismet that unified our souls, thoughts and visions, finally we surrendered.
Life lead us towards one another while we silently searched separately for true love,
We were victims of helpless hearts, alien to what our emotions were capable of,
Listening to our inner voice, mesmerized by the magnetizing force from above,
Blissfully we fell into the hands of destiny, like a magical spell that had been cast upon us.
We often argue, fuss and fight with vigor, but it is masked in the art of our hidden passions,
Polite conversations of conflict are not spoken by lovers, but unspoken truth of false friends,
We are wildly driven mad when the flames in our veins ignite a fire that burns indefinitely,
Until thunderous showers of our buried adoration rain like torrential monsoons of joy freely.
The awkwardness of a new love soon faded, and grew like a ripened fruit, sometimes sour, mostly sweet,
The layers of our love are many and a lifetime we have to unwrap the marvels of our personalities,
The exuberant ride of our life awaits us, demanding a promise to never frown on future casualties.
