Two Poems from our Babies, Baby Showers Poetry Collection

MY BABY

Author: Colleen Gillespie

Poem:
MY BABY

  A beautiful life inside me
The most perfect gift from God
Sweet tiny hands to hold my heart
this is the true meaning of love

I can't wait to hold you in my arms
and kiss your angelic face
to play with you and wash you hair
to make you feel warm and safe

My darling baby you are loved
beyond any metric measure
I know the angels will protect you
my precious little treasure

I am blessed to have you
and feel your little life grow
to give you a happy family
is the greatest pleasure that I know

Your mummy loves you dearly
Your daddy loves you too
there's no one more important
than perfect little you

A GODDESS, AN ANGEL AND A FRIEND

Author: Len joseph Gonzalez

Poem: A GODDESS, AN ANGEL AND A FRIEND

The silence inside my cage
gave me a deafening roar.
The warmth outside made me want to go out.
Then I saw light which grazed the bars of my cell.
It made me free, free to touch and smell the warmth of your wind.
I saw you, with colours of life, a heart of gold and a smile which Venus would envy.
You're the only one who floats through the ocean of endless waters.
The solace you bring embraces my entire being.
Your eyes caress my soul as I dance through the rivers of your heart.
Time will bear its fruits as you go.
But not forever, not a single day would penetrate the walls.
Bricks of my fruition gather.
Guards your light......
