See the beautiful babies
Their chubby cheeks and thighs
See them sleeping soundly
Rocked by a mere lullaby
With dreams of butterflies
Their mouths form a grin
Warm and snuggly in their cribs
How I wish babyhood would never end
But each day they grow from head to toe
One inch, two inches, three inches, then before you know
They are bigger than they used to be
And only pictures can help you see
How much those beautiful babies have really grown
And how those beautiful babies are not quite babies anymore
And while they might not be baby-babies, they're still babies to you
So when you see them, all you see are the beautiful babies
Who may look like you
