He’s my porch cat, Mr. Jake is He sometimes comes on in To slake his
Thirst and fill his empty belly Then leaves his calling card, Pungent, smelly
For all my other cats to find and read.
Yes, he’s my porch cat, My Mr. Jake-Boo, He likes to have And eat his cake, too
Sleeping here, eating there, Pissing just ‘bout every where And training humans in his care –
What more does Mr. Jake-Bake need?
Mr. Jakey stays at the neighbor’s, And sometimes, he stays with me And whenever he comes, He grants us his favors,
And we are honored, indeed! |

ENIGMA, MY SWEET MYSTERY |
| |
|
|
Black as night you come to me in May I understand your plight That's why you come my way Yellow eyes stare at me from the garden beyond You are a sweet mystery Your "Meow" is God's song You watch for weeks waiting for the right time Patience is your virtue Soon, you will be mine One fine day when there is a light breeze You slip through the door "Carpe diem," the moment is seized Where are you from? What is your history? I shall call you Enigma, My Sweet Mystery.
