I am the teacher's pet.
I have been for this school year.
She always smiles my way
And never gives a sneer.
She always seems to favor me
And gives me treats and stuff,
Toys and games for all to share
And takes me out to lunch.
I don't know how to read
Or multiply or add,
But I'm still the teacher's favorite
And I've never been too bad.
She always gives me hugs and things.
I know she must be smitten.
