My cat has died a year ago
But it’s still here today
My parents do not know it’s there
And it won’t go away
I see it prowl into our house
At least three times a day
I guess it really likes it here
‘Cause it won’t go away
It climbs in through the windowsill
Or door; it’ll find a way
It acts as though it owns the place
And wouldn't go away
At night it climbs into my bed
Ignoring what I say
I try to make it leave my room
But it doesn’t go away
It does not matter if I shout
And yell – it won’t obey
It just walks past, tail in the air
And doesn’t go away
I know it’ll always be around
Whether I leave or stay
I’ll just have to get used to it
And hope it goes away
Finally!
It’s gone!
Oh, how I wish it’d stay..!
