Two Poems from our Cats Poetry Collection

CHAMP

Author: Laura Whittaker

Poem:
CHAMP

My cat is called champ she's such a delight
her coat is all shiny her eyes are so bright
her face is so small and as cute as can be
im so very glad that she belongs to me.

Her nature is playful, her love is so free
curled under the fire or sat on my knee
sleeping by day and hunting by night
for me my cat champ was love at first sight.

THE CAT IN THE WINDOW

Author: Gareth Evans

Poem: THE CAT IN THE WINDOW

What do you see?
Some hidden view, mystifies me.
All chic and sophisticated,
lie upon your throne.
Insides not real, out there’s your home.
But look! The Kitty Kat king.
Shallow eyes, slightly stirred.
Everglades awaiting, he sees you, girl.
On all fours, attack the shine.
Chalkboard roars, door opens in time.
Stealth powered up.
Long live the king!
Tiger runs...Now the bird don't sing.
