BEYOND THAT DOOR

Author: Inas Moussa

Poem:
BEYOND THAT DOOR

Locked me up and threw the key
Where the eyes of truth may finally see
But my lids just closed the way outside
Offering it a place to hide…
And on that floor I laid my soul
To watch the madness rap that wall
And see how loneliness killed the light
To leave me lost within that night
But outside this place the sun just dances
With the designs of life to flip its chances
And through fingers of light the fire is set
And the desires of life are finally met
But once again I close my eyes
And grab my heart towards my lies
But my mind just kept moving me back
To see how defenses can attack
So put your laugh against my life
And catch your smile above my knife
But before my curtains just fall down
I took one look at the ground
And let that picture take me in
Beyond the barriers of my sin
To see that door within my mind
And the key I've always wished to find
But on my way towards that door
Again I fell to the floor
It was when I knew it's late
As my blood erased my fate….

My Time

Author: Ayumi

Poem: My Time

My time

A time, my time, for a time

Peace, possibly, expected always

Repetitions no rest, a day and a day
In the waiting room of my choice

Today free, tomorrow missing yesterday, anticipating the next with dismay.
