A MASK

Author: Motaz Lambaz

Poem:
A MASK

  At the end of the night
I sit alone in the dark
Thinking , listening
But a solution I can not find

A person to talk to is someone I miss
A person to talk to is truly a bliss
In public I'm a stare you could see from fare
Happiness ill fake and sadness ill Take
But no one knows what happens in the dark
Loneliness in what I'm afraid of
And it could be only the start

Excuses I have made
Faults I have blamed
I shall always be a mystery that no one could solve
For the mask I've worn is what you only see

Is it the fault of me?
Is it the fault of the?
A mask I have never worn
But in a mask you were born

This is what I'm trying to say
But your mask will take it all away.

DYING IN YOUR ARMS

Author: Grace Ruedger

Poem: DYING IN YOUR ARMS

The light is fading,
Soon night will fall.
I just lie here in the shading,
Wrapped in your sweet enthrall.

My head lays upon your undulating chest,
Listening to your steady heartbeat.
'Tis the sound of life and zest
Which contrasts my mortal defeat.

Your crystal tears fall upon my face,
Warm and full of fear.
Gently our hands interlace;
You know I will not long be here.

I feel your body shaking
As you hold me in your arms.
I tremble as your heart is breaking;
Mourning the love that's brought us so far.

Slow and shallow becomes my breath;
Quickly I become so weak.
As I feel the cold grip of death,
I hear your sobbing voice speak.

Soft and desperate you call my name,
Quiet and hushed I answere back;
Drawing all my strength for my last exclaim,
As I resist eternal black.

Fear not my love,
I am always with you.
Just turn your eyes to gaze above,
And I'll be looking down upon you.

Weep not my dear,
My love for you stays strong.
Of death I have no fear;
Our time apart will not last long.
