Faultless Death

Author: Kim Mulroney

Poem:
Faultless Death

  A sinister apparition lives within
The five hundred year stones.
Trapped by a wrongful death and
Forbidden love.
He feeds on those who dare to enter his
Realm.

Incensed and driven mad beyond
Retaliation.
Destruction and annihilation by mind
Searing pain - is his delight.

Why should the white hot spears of hate
That took his life, smolder in his
Screaming flesh alone?

Each decade has seen a new proprietor
Of this retched stoned hell.
Mortals who lay their heads to sleep,
Throw gala festivals of food and spirits.

Mortises envied and so longed , once
Again the touch of warm life.
Only to be conflicted with the hatred of same.

His one crime,
He dared to love a king’s daughter.
His one passion,
The glow, smell and touch of his
Only heart.
Why then should a man’s life be stolen
And his soul tortured, only because he
Dared to love?

Murdered ten steps from the love he came
To whisk away.
Skewered with six plus one blades.
Cowards!
Take the breath of a man when
His back is turned.

My dying curse for you,
An eye will never close in rest,
less they be haunted all their
Days with his dying stare.

Yes- those who betrayed him will someday
Know his wrath.
A time will come, when their kin, born
In this time,
Will walk upon this place, and they will hear
The five hundred year stones cry out before
They feel the fire of…

Faultless death.

THE TRAIN

Author: Sidharth Pant

Poem: THE TRAIN

HE WIFFS OFF A LOT OF SMOKE
CONTINUING EVEN WHEN HE IS BROKE

ALL SAY THAT SMOKIN IS INJURIOUS TO HEALTH
LIKEWISE TO ONES SAY AND WEALTH

INSPITE OF ALL SUCH INNUENDOES HE GOES ON UNPERTURBED
THE RESULT OF HIS HEART BURNING ESCAPING UNDISTURBED

ON HIS FACE ONE SEES NO WRATH
CLOUDS OF SATISFACTION CURL FROM HIS BREATH

NO ONE ARGUES WHEN A TRAIN SMOKES
IS IT NOT HARMFUL FOR IT'S POWER STROKE

THAT TRAINS ENGINE IS MY FRIEND
IN THE JORNEY OF LIFE IT DOES NOT BEND

THE ENGINE GOES ON STRAIGHT
ITS THE BOGIES THAT DESCEND

THE TRAIN AND I, I AND THE TRAIN,
DON'T DO OUR MINDS STRAIN

IT MOVES ,I STOP
AND SLOWLY AND SWEETLY WE WISTLE MY END
