Forever and a Day

Author: Rene Bennett

Poem:
Forever and a Day

  I woke up this morning
Thinking of you
Reached for your warmth
As I always would do
Your side of the bed
Was empty with fold
Pillows in place
Untouched and cold
I did not smell coffee
The news was not on
Things seem so different
Since you are gone
Your sweet smelling scent
Is fading away
So I cling to your memory
In every possible way
Motivating myself
Is a struggle to do
Hard to see sunshine
When feeling so blue
They say it gets better
As time goes by
To look for the good
At least give it a try
Something happened
At work today
I started to call you
Right away
Sadly remembering
I hung up the phone
You were not there
God took you home
My heart is hurting
My soul cries with pain
I've got nothing to lose
I've got nothing to gain
Time is one asset
I have plenty to spare
Holding on tight
Going nowhere
I'm looking for good
As I have been told
Reaching for warmth
Yet, shiver with cold
Darling, I miss you
In every way
And still loving you
"Forever and a Day."

EED DEMON

Author: Prem Rethinasamy

Poem: EED DEMON

eed Demon

On the highway between darkness
Reflected upon the same skies
The tar stones that paved our way
Shines upon its granite stars
Against the starry nights
Reveals each full Lunar night

Speeding besides the wheels of men
Racing to their untimely end
Like the bodiless sprits that seek
The heads of the living riders they meet
Of the highway made by men
For the living speed upon it

So do the speed demons who watch
To feed upon all who turns to see?
They don? own the highway or the speed
For they seek the souls of wreak carnage
Following each rider to whisper
Turn and see the face of this ghost rider

Bodiless with just a head flying
With trailing entrails skimming
Like pebbles upon the torrent stream
Taking the souls that spread
Upon the blood and tar race
Breaking the boundaries of speed limits
Taking the souls that passed between metallic hells

Into the fiery brimstones that lay markers
For the dark highway seek another rider
To pay the penance of a speeding murderer
Justice be paid in full
As heads do roll with entrails and all
You ascend to race forever bane by speed
As once in life now in death collides with
Speeding demons of the both highways
