Two Poems from our Dark Poems, Depressing Poems, Death Poetry Collection

Visits of Nightmares

Author: Linda Chew

Poem:
Visits of Nightmares

  Dreams unravel many a truth
They help the psychi
get to the root
Pounded and bored
into your unconscious
where lies any happenings
that were obnoxious
You may have managed to hide
all of this while awake
but when you sleep
nothing can be put aside
For in your dreams
the bad things will creep
Dreams turn into nightmares
You relive those awful times
and yet again you suffer
from the crimes

A Deeper Cut

Author: Katalyn Louis Parks

Poem: A Deeper Cut

Glass through the bone,
I laugh at the thought,
Words blossom like roses,
And my madness is sought.
I see the unseen,
I hear the unheard,
I long for the pain,
They say it's absurd.
To look into the eyes,
Is to see myself,
I can't breath or die,
I'm left on the shelf.
And to capture it's soul,
Screams to me,
For in this I find,
What no one can see.
