July 2009 Poetry Contest Winner Announced

This is our first monthly poetry contest and congratulations are extended to everyone who entered their work.

All poems were read by three independent judges and every poem that received one or more stars from them was then elegible to be a finalist.

The quality of poems in this month's contest was very high but after careful consideration the winner, with her outstanding poem, is:

JUDGE COMMENTS: Beautiful use of words to create an almost ethereal feeling for this world we live in and through it our connection to a higher reality. Grammar is excellent and flow is smooth and effortless. Very creative. Wonderful poem that draws the reader into its beauty.
