Wed Lock

a writing by Satheesan Rangorath

Wed Lock

I greet you with a Red rose.
stretching hands for a long hug,
Veiling in misty thoughts,
I carry you in my daydreams.
Dancing in moonlight of emotions
I drink the lips of your passion.
drifting my self away in undercurrents,
I merge in the song of love.

Roses are crumbled later.
Hugs are hogged.
Daydreams into nightmare
Dances turn violent tantrums
Passion becomes insipid.

A lawyer knocks at the door.
You separate safety hook to unlock.
A pigeon flutter away to freedom,
holding a spike of corn in her beak.
Alimony is served.
