Shimmering Heat

Philippians 3:20-21 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Saviour from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

Through aid of a recent landscape plan I had put myself down to drawing, I have recently been finding myself so hectically busy upon the decided on plot of land. So many years of the past through incapable management, I had been finding myself being left so overworked within the NHS. Through having so little time to myself at home, I have had to rely on my gardeners, most likely in the Autumn period to operate upon the garden simply so as to leave to me, a scene of the same style of landscape but in a decent state of health. It does so seem meanwhile, that those days are now over, my gardeners have moved on too, and so leaving a further occupation of time unto myself.

Only Sunday of the last weekend, I had been up so early moving around the house, although my first decision of action being; a day of rest. Yet that was my first decision, for it was once I was out in my garden, and noticing the work waiting, a person with anxiety cannot ease from that worry or tension of whatever it has been observed until all of the work has been dealt with.

In such sweltering weather we are experiencing here in Great Britain at present, I soon had my top off and was deeply involved say as if in a heat, in ways of making the required further advantages unto the necessary plot of land. Something I can say today however two days on, is that when the mind is under such deep concentration, what is not being noticed is the effects of such an outbreak of heat from the sun. The effects of such a shimmering heat on the day, was now so easy to sense and also clearly visible upon my upper body.

It has been during this period of Great Britain experiencing temperatures exceeding 30C, I had been finding myself so much becoming involved with such a variety of fresh fruit and drink. So much of the food and drink being unto myself, so desperately required throughout such exceedingly hot weather this very week. The high temperature achieved being so rare, and so therefore all of us here in Britain, having so little experience of it if at all. Even reports of road tarmac in areas being unable to cope within the heat and was melting. I suppose meantime, there are those who spend their time travelling abroad to places where the temperature would reach 40C, yet as for myself being so fair yet healthy, I would settle for those more northern cool and fresh atmosphere factors.

Things again were becoming so hectically busy for myself in this very hot weather for, I had received yet a further sort of sound of urgency for a swift response unto the NHS. The management once again finding themselves under pressure through yet more serious difficulties stepping in and being in such need of rapid relief. Being what I am I had made those necessary arrangements to be at hand so to give a hand, and once arriving being so delighted to be seen and being welcomed by a cheer, was shown within the main building on the day together with my good coating of not the perfume named shimmering heat, but the required sun-tan lotion. It was plain to observe that each management member would attempt to function, whilst being totally shut off within what would have now become, his or her very own small airless office. Even in such hot and humid weather conditions, each would insist on being cut off whilst sat at their one and only office desk and appear with the tongue hanging out whilst panting for breath. It was so plain of the missing scene and sound from each office being; an ice-cream and cornet.

Also, they had no knowledge at all of action on such a hot and humid occasion. The importance to have cool fresh air entering, together with bottles of cold water at hand, simply so as to wet their paws whilst they would carry on barking during such sweltering periods of the hot summer months. I moved on into the main section of the building together with my message unto all at hand: "Wake up, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."

“First-fruits” you know, a term used to denote the first part of the harvest. This very part being considered holy. As God’s people, who are truly converted Christians are considered first-fruits of God’s spiritual harvest. That’s correct James 1:18.

I continued, come on, don’t you see; It is not management. Jesus is the first of the first-fruits - the most holy part. “But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the first-fruits of those who have fallen asleep in death” 1 Corinthians 15:20. The apostle Paul explained that Jesus is “the firstborn over all creation,” “the firstborn from the dead” and “the firstborn among many brethren.” Colossians 1:15, 18; Romans 8:29. Clearly others would follow in due time.

I would have undoubtedly noted through my own experience of so many years within the NHS, when orders would have been brought forth time after time from, naturally the gaffer. The very ones that so much lack the knowledge through experience, so often would show themselves having such a withered or otherwise drooping expression, from where sound of such a bleary or fuzzy preposterous poppycock talk would have without doubt, have been brought out unto all anxious employees standing to alert. Yet, without aid from the fruit, communication via aid of the spirit was dead.

One example on this occasion and also among so many I have experienced myself, being when a particular fruitless manager, displayed before me a plan for the layout of all furniture items. This being, just one of so many different occasions that I had been through with that need of such skilful experience. By him having the art skill of I would say a nipper, I could observe so plainly from his own decided on layout before he began his speech, and so informed him quite politely to, save his breath. I did honestly observe so many plain faults so amusing and it was, so difficult to hide a smile through being shown what was meant to have been; a fruitful management layout plan.

Obvious to observe, was that we all see things differently. The main subject however being looked into, being cabinets and shelving, each so to store patient information that had been cancelled down to 16mm reels of top quality processed film. A method the NHS would have during the decades now gone by, have spent a decent amount of money on so to help save, such vitally required space. A manager of this third millennium meanwhile it was plain to observe, was so utterly lost through lack of fruit even though having a bite from his tree of knowledge. For today, all had gone. He was unable to see back into the millennium now gone by for good.

Gone by for good, so many would state without even expressing that required style of tension for the sake of the sick and so therefore, look forward on into the subject just one step more deeply. For only one step forward could well direct the pathfinder onto the end. The end being on the day when all of the 16mm reels of processed film relating to past patients, shall no longer be required and all shall rise up from their grave so to be moved on.

For master; your dead will live, Lord; their bodies will rise - let those who dwell in all this awfully alarming dust of the Nottingham NHS wake up and shout for joy - your dew is like the dew of the morning; the earth will give birth to her dead.

Maybe all that is required so as to alert the workers, is the management to sound their cornets! For the gormless gaffer meanwhile, so simply stood totally lost as he starred in at the limitation of storage space available. I continued unto him: For this is what the Lord has told me: "I will quietly look on from my dwelling place, like shimmering heat in the sunshine, like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest." Yes, the body and mind shall deteriorate back to dust, yet the spirit shall move on. Here within the NHS, it is plain all is body and mind. You shall be left by the side of the road and will not progress on at all without the fruit of the Holy Spirit!
