a poem by Thelma Elizabeth Zaracostas, Australia - poetry writer, author, poet

another poem by my daughter Michelle "Trinity"

THE CANDLE

SMALL CHILD
NAKED, LOOKING THROUGH A FLAME
HOT RED AWE
CURIOUS.
SEARCHING
GAZING UNBLINKING
AT LIFE.

LIFE. DREAMLIKE IMAGE
THROUGH A FLAME

SPRING CHILD SEEING
. AGE
EXTINGUISHES THE BEAUTY OF FLICKERING
LIFE IMAGE.

LIFE-REALITY
WORK-MONEY
TIRED
WIFE -TRAFFIC
TIRED
GIN AND TONIC DREAMS-THE FLAME BURNS
TIC
TIC
TIME
OLD MAN OLD CLOTHER,LOOKING THROUGH A
FLAME.
GAZING
UNBLINKING
AT REWOUND TAPES.
TIRED EYES
SAVOURING
THROUGH A FLAME
TIC
TIC
TIME.
