Wishes and Dreams

a poem by R. Anthony H. Rock, Canada

You tickle the mind,
A whispered dream.
A flight of fancy,
A wisp of steam.
Ideals collected.
What should be?
A faded vision,
One can't see.
At oblivion's vanguard,
Floats a barge.
On moon-lit clouds,
Undulates, bobs a mirage.
Piled high to sky,
O'er it's sides spilled.
Our Wishes and Dreams,
All, ne'er fulfilled.
