SILENT SUNSETS

a poem by Gail P. Kay, Australia - poetry writer, author, poet

In silent solitude I stand
Soaking up the dying sunset
With my eyes.
A bird calls as it wings its way
To rest; so free, so alive!
My heart hurts at the beauty
Of my world around me.
My spirit glories in the Lord
Who created such beauty,
Such wonder!
I lift my soul
In silent praise and whisper,
“Thank You Lord!”
