a poem by Satheesan Rangorath, India - poetry writer, author, poet

A word can kindle a fire.
Some could spread warmth of a hearth.
Some brings warmth of a heart
Some could bring cold shivers.
A word can put out a fire.
Words structured well could,
Turn masses into an army.

A word out of place is worse than a bomb.
Explodes and burn, melt many hearts,
Sharper words pierce, hearts to bleed.
Softer words dance down into hearts
Creating a symphony of thoughts,
Spreading cool breeze all round,
Leaving a memory lane in minds

Wise words spoken lasts for ever
Speaker is remembered for his words.
But great ones live by their words.
When wisdom dawns; words disappear.
Silence then speaks out, all that is spoken.
Those who knows silence never comes out of it.
They live in an ecstasy world of wordlessness.
Penance of wisdom!
