TRISH’S LOVE

a poem by Gail P. Kay, Australia - poetry writer, author, poet

Even when I hated you
I loved you;
Even when you put me down,
I loved you;
Even when you left me,
I loved you;
Even when I couldn’t see
A life together
For you and me
I loved you;
When you didn’t want
To hold my hand
Or celebrate our
Golden band
I loved you!
Even when I couldn’t see
You cared in any way for me
I loved you;
The burning flames
Have died down low
But I have nowhere
Else to go;
Because I love You!
