COUSIN JOAN’S BIRTHDAY

a poem by Gail P. Kay, Australia - poetry writer, author, poet

Two little girls who used to play
At grandma’s feet throughout the day
We went on to live our lives apart
But you are always in my heart;
Having you in my life has blessed my days
For you’re there for me in so many ways;
You are my cousin, my sister, my friend
And birthday wishes to you I send;
So have a happy day with more to come
With God’s richest blessings til the setting sun.
