a poem by Thelma Elizabeth Zaracostas, Australia - poetry writer, author, poet

From Trinity Michelle's blue folder. 1976

The sunrise this morning
was so beautiful.
It reminded me of birth
Slowly it pushed it's
way out of the horizon
to stand in the sky
Like a silent watcher of the world.

I can imagine cave men
watching that same
As they face, the
struggles of survival

The egyptians building
the pyramids, under the
watchful eye of the sun.
Millions of people, with
diffrent lives
different thoughts

Stood under the beautiful
glowing sphere of warmth
at sometime.
Just as I do now.
