Mr Never Never

a poem by Thelma Elizabeth Zaracostas, Australia - poetry writer, author, poet

Mr Never Never
For my Grandson.

There's a painting hanging on
my wall, a country scene
A log cabin nestles
amongst evergreen trees
A stream flows gently by
Come with me lets
look inside
We may get a big surprise.

Ah!there he is a little man
named Mr Never Never
He lives in Never Never Land
Many stories were told to
you about this little man
He never gave up he always
found a way.

So when you thought you
couldn't
We would look upon the
painting on the wall
step inside to
Never Never Land
With stories to tell
There he is that
little man
Mr Never Never

Time has passed you have
grown up
The painting now hangs
upon your wall
You have never forgotten
the magic behind that
painting scene
Never Never
Never Never give up
on your dreams.
