a poem by Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Montik, USA -
A golden sunbeam softly ticklinga drop of sleepy morning dewwhile a yawning daisy shakesslumber from her delicate petals. The tiny Monarch who lets thewind carry her past a dandelion fieldand the Blue Jay who landed on thetip of the church’s white steeple.A fisherman’s boat bobbing on gentlewaves as he catches tonight’s supperwhile in the distance clear bells invitebig and small to an evening of prayer. The tear that sparkles from the corner ofa small boy’s eye as he bows his head andraises his hands as the Holy Spirit surroundshim and covers the church with peace. So beautiful is the linked souls of ordinarypeople who are burning with desire andshining with His light as all worldly thingsslip away until only the presence of God is left.
