My Love

a poem by Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Montik, USA - poetry writer, author, poet

The bright blue eyes locked into the distance,
a gaze staring months ahead,
the glimmer of dreaming thoughts,
the sparkle of a hope rising from the dead.

The innocent laugh that softly escapes
when those red lips come apart,
the gentle hint of a hiding smile,
an upward curve that tugs at my heart.

The sweetest voice whispering secrets,
a tone of passion’s burning fire,
the softly spoken teasing words
seductively igniting my greatest desire.

With trust in your heart and love in your soul,
you showed me how happy I could be,
I love every little thing about you,
and I love the way that you love me.
