You Call Me Crazy

a poem by Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Montik, USA - poetry writer, author, poet

You call me crazy
you call me mean.
You say I'm ugly,
you broke my dream.

I am not good enough
and maybe thats true,
but maybe, just maybe,
I am better than you.

The gossip already started
with whispers and stares,
completed with accusations
and a few cold glares.

You hear the lies and
all that you do,
is laugh behind my back
and say that they're true.

Why pretend to be
someone you are not?
Cuz you've been revealed,
you have been caught.

When you realize the truth,
it will be too late,
cuz one thing I can't do
is sit around and wait.
