Insurance

a poem by Angel Marie Schmidt, USA - poetry writer, author, poet

Life insurance when you pass
Car insurance when you crash
Home insurance in case of fire
Flood insurance you must inquire
Renter insurance if you don’t own
Fire insurance for your home

Insurance for your material things
What insurance when love sings
No insurance for your heart
When it’s broken from the start

Health insurance when you’re ill
Prescription insurance for your pill
Jewelry insurance on your precious rings
Bond insurance when the jail cell clings
More insurance for your wife
No insurance if you end your life

Mal practice insurance for your mistakes
One wrong move is all it takes
There’s no insurance for love that fails
But boaters insurance protects your sails
Pre nuptials are insurance for your wealth
Medical insurance for your health

I want insurance when my heart sings
I want insurance for everything
