MY REDEEMER

a poem by Phillip Joseph Hussey, UK

MY REDEEMER

There goes my redeemer
There goes my Lord
Tho I was but a sinner
He vanquished my sin with a sword

You raised me in the battle
Where swords and shield doth rattle
Lord of lords, King of kings
My soul it flies, while my heart it sings
Behold my great Redeemer,Savior of the world

He shall come in clouds of glory
At the end of the world
Tho that is another story
Which will in time unfold

You raised me in the battle
Where swords and shield doth rattle
Lord of lords, King of kings
My soul it flies, while my heart it sings
Behold my great Redeemer,Savior of the world

He shall come in haste to help me
When times of trouble comes
And when the toll of deaths bell rings
He'll take me in unfurled wings

You raised me in the battle
Where swords and shields doth rattle
Lord of Lords, King of kings
My soul it flies while my heart it sings
Behold my great Redeemer,Savior of the world
