SINGING SPRING

a poem by Lee Emmett, Australia - poetry writer, author, poet

sing
starling
so startling
sweetly seeking
softly soothing string
sorrowfully staring
supine sentinel staying
silent swooning sparrow sleeping
suddenly sparkling sunshine streaming
stirring soundless sun-lover sheltering
somnolent soporific soul scorching
sweltering sunbaker starts swimming
strongly sidestrokes swiftly stretching
strikes seaward, sideways swinging
see-sawing swell spraying
salty sea stinging
sailor swearing
sounds slurring
spoiling
spring
