COLOR OF DESIRE

a poem by Satish Verma, India

It is,
collectivity,
against numbers.
Muffled euphoria of insane crowds.

Eagles are spawning,
mediocre breed;
roaming ravens.
the hills are strewn with blood stains.

Intimate future,
understands the past
starts burning
pulsating with melting sorrow.

Stress cannot trespass the judgement,
is doomed to fail.
Sincerity demands,
charity of blood.

Of grains, of texture.
Beyond the color of desire,
hunger and thirst,
and dying night.
