I Hate To Do Dishes

a poem by Linda Bates Terrell, USA

I hate to do dishes,
I'd rather throw them to the fishes,

Cup, plates, silverware,
I just don't care,

Line them all up in a row,
grab a rock to throw,

Glasses, bowls, sugars and creamers,
hang them for decoration on streamers.

Oh, how I hate to do dishes
These are my secret wishes,

Linda B Terrell
