SONNET of the LOST SLIPPERS

a poem by Michael Flores Caasi, Philippines - poetry writer, author, poet

On rocky roads I journeyed far
across the steepy mountain top;
The pair of shields against this war
of reaching all the hardest laps.
But amidst this great walks of life
The armor of my feet was wrecked
Will I still win in this life's strife
nor step on end lines of this trek?
I paused a while to comprehend
and rest my souls for reflections
I've lost my safeguard to defend
my feet towards expeditions.
I stood with my all naked feet
and gently amble on pebbly sheet.
