THE GREAT OUTDOORS

a poem by Nancy Ellen Crossland, USA - poetry writer, author, poet

Wandering winds whistle warm welcome
Towering trees thrill travelers timelessly
Roaring rapids rattle reluctant rowers
Hikers heed hearty hurdles hopefully
Scurrying skunk's scent surfaces suddenly
Crackling campfire creates cheerful chatter
