BEHOLD! THE GIRL OF FAIRNESS

a poem by Oredola Olamilekan Ibrahim, Nigeria

BEHOLD! THE GIRL OF FAIRNESS
Behold! the girl of fairness
That is easy on the eye
Skin glittering to the nature's eyes
Tender and smooth like the lemon leaves
A figurine of beauty in soul and shape
Full of prowess and passion care.

Behold! The girl of fairness
A damsel of a heart of warmth
That spread her arm and far and wide
Like the messiah's for every soul
A loving smile for all she nook
From the place where every skin is right.

Behold! the girl of fairness
That did appear stunning like
With green woods and heart of peace
Her crown of beauty is one of rear
For that beauty is the thunderstorm
That transpires every willing soul.

Behold! the girl of fairness
That made a sight for sore eyes
In her gorgeous firm in fit
Verily seduce beyond the seas
For her firmness is a charm
That fit of her is the treasure
That beautifies every living land
From King Solomon's mine.

Behold! the girl of fairness
As though as pretty as a picture
And around her the ocean wails
Mouths that sing about her fair
Black and shine and full of praise.
But when shall she stand and walk
Stand on her soil and boast in pride
Of her natural talent stuff
Exploited some years ago.
And later by the soul massacres of us.
Though still your glory is in full
Still, she is yet to be a MAN.
