To drop a rose to show your love,
On the hand of your lass,
So fine a gift, a smile on her lips,
An act she accepts; make it last.
The glorious rose wondrously glows
as it blooms in cool soothing air,
Thorns oust countless warriors
the flower flourishes joyously fair.
The scent transcends
as the whispering wind slips by,
On meadows and river-beds
the red petals pleasantly lie.
