Linger no more

a poem by Linda Bates Terrell, USA

Linger not my love,
free your self of me now,
Sprint far,
Sprint fast.

You have broken my heart,
so linger no more,
For if you do,
I fear now,
that you might soon,
suffocate what's left,
of me.

My lingering,
lost soul now,
cries,
to be again,
free.

So Please,
soon be,
gone.
That I may
love again.

As the,
daylight,
slides,
away,
into,
the night.

So must you,
now,
from me.
