Be Yourself

a poem by Linda Bates Terrell, USA

Be yourself
It would be sad
if all the flowers
in the garden
bent and withered
because they all felt
they weren't as beautiful
as the rose.

The same goes for people. What if everyone thought they were't the most beautiful and withered because they felt someone else or others were more beautiful then they were, there would be no on left. Everyone carries their own beauty-- just as flowers do.
