Little Tiker Fisherman

a poem by Linda Bates Terrell, USA

Oh, the sun in my eyes
little tiker I spies
Sitting on brooks bank
with expression blank.

Oh, the water splashes high
fish flopping, I hear a joyful sigh
Up pops that captured fish
delights of a tikers precious wish.

Oh, the summer breeze blows
little tiker's face glows
"Daddy bait another hook"
through life they cheefully glade.
