Once Twice Three Times

a poem by Shaunda Yvette, USA - poetry writer, author, poet

As I stretch as I yawn on this beautiful morning,
Once twice three times I say.
My love my love your love is all I need.
Mi amour you are my everything.
The best of me, please bring your heart to mine.
The softness in your touch was made to soothe.
Being apart from you causes my pulse to ache.
And as each day passes my heart starts to race,
Visions of your face begin to fade in my dreams.
Or maybe you were there and I’m meant not to remember
Which makes me want to be even closer.
You did say your love was forever.
As in my kiss…
As in I will always love you no matter the weather.
