You And I Love Sonnet No. L

a poem by Shaunda Yvette, USA - poetry writer, author, poet

You and I will last a thousand lifetimes….
With a love so divine,
Only you I want in my arms…
Wishing the moon and the stars could keep us in unity for all eternity.
At number fifty, I can still go on and on…
How deep could our love be?
If I could write twenty dozens more sonnets,
I would be honored.
I just ask my Lord to give me the creativity
To delight you with my poetry.
Your heart I promise to nurture like a delicate flower.
And with every poem I dedicate and give to you as your own.
No hidden agendas, just my heart singing
For the one I adore forever more…
