a poem by Sheela Chalapathi ramananda, India

Oh!Whose handiwork is this?

Mixing the brown of all matter
With the white of the cascading water
Drawing intricate patterns on Earth's face
The invisible artist has a splash of green growing
As only He knows how to beautify and mystify everything.

Oh! What does it mean?

The white clouds on the infinite blue
Changing patterns without giving a clue.
The drops of rain bringing a smile to Earth's face.
The frothy white of the roaring, cascading waterfall
Stagnating beneath into a greenish, grey puddle.

If the gifts of life are not put to proper use
They will frizzle out and diffuse.
