a poem by Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Montik, USA - poetry writer, author, poet

It's hard not to smile
when you are around
your brilliant gaze
lifts my heart off the ground.

It seems like i'm floating
walking on air
it's impossible to fall
because you are still there.

I'm breathless, I'm speechless
what do I say
to make you smile
and not walk away.

I am so nervous
I am such a mess
If I do anything wrong
would you think of me less.

And thats when I see it
the most wonderful sight
its you accepting smile telling
me everything will be alright.
