Dear Lover...(Inspired by Teena Marie)

a poem by Shaunda Yvette, USA - poetry writer, author, poet

Dear Lover...

Oh love, oh love oh love of mine…

Let's cuddle under the covers.

I desire for your touch, kiss and soft whispers.

My Portuguese love...

What more can I say

I'm still in love.

And will always be.

I just have to let you know

I only need your loving.

The fire and desire that runs through me

Makes me say Ooh la la la.

Call it deja vu

Because once again,

You took my breath away...

And as our love overflows….

I'm a go out on a limb

And tell you in lights

I just wanna be your lovergirl

All through the night.

You know my heart is true

Like wishing on a star

Only wanting to be in your arms

As the snow falls

Way pass the break of dawn.
